The Fly Agaric mushroom, or amanita muscaria, is a powerfully hallucinogenic mushroom that would get you very sick with nausea and stomach cramps. Applied vaginally, it would bypass the process of breaking down the toxins in the liver and go straight into the spirit flight. According to Alberto Villoldo, "Now the women would board their brooms that they'd rub against their vaginas to fuel their flight through the heavens." Taking her tool with her into the spirit flight, this is an extraordinary depiction of the feminine.
